Montreal's Pierre Elliot Trudeau Airport jumps up 13 spots in latest world ranking
According to Skytrax a United Kingdom-based firm that runs an annual airline and airport ranking site, Montreal is home to one of the top-100 airports in the world.
The world’s Top 100 Airports for 2018 was voted by international travellers during a 2017-2018 survey period. Over 500 airports were covered and four Canadian airports made the top 100: Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, and Halifax.
According to the Skytrax website, the rankings are based on over 13 million airport questionnaires completed by over 100 different nationalities of airline customers from August 2017 to February 2018.
The 550 airports that were surveyed were judged on check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, cleanliness, security, amenities, parking, and immigration.
Vancouver was the highest ranked Canadian airport on this year’s list, claiming the 14th spot overall. Toronto’s Pearson International Airport ranked 41st and Halifax International ranked 77th in the worldwide rankings.
