It’s going to get messy out there today.
Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for the Metro Montreal region.
The freezing rain warning is in effect for: Châteauguay – La Prairie area, Laval area, Longueuil, and Montréal Island area.
According to Environment Canada, the freezing rain will only last a few hours, giving amounts of 2 to 5 millimetres before changing over to intermittent rain as temperatures rise above the freezing mark.
This will clear up on Saturday, as sunny skies are in the forecast with a high of 3°C before a mix of snow and rain return on Sunday.
Thankfully, next week’s forecast looks bright, as sunny, clear conditions are expected from Monday to Wednesday.
