Happy Tuesday, June 19, y’all. Thankfully, we’re not in line to get a monsoon like we did yesterday. It’s still hot and humid outside so here are a few air-conditioned-based events for you to tackle today.

Sam Smith at the Bell Centre

The 26-year-old English singer-songwriter is at the Bell Centre today. He’s on tour promoting his newest album The Thrill of It All and he’s sure to play a few of his classics as well. Tickets are a bit pricey but come on, it’s Sam Smith.

When: Monday, June 19
Time: 7 pm – 11 pm
Where: Centre Bell, 1909 Avenue des Canadiens de Montreal
Price: $63.50 – $149.75, available online

The Shaika Shakeup

Cafe Shaika hosts the “Shaika Shakeup” every Tuesday in the summer. The Shakeup is an open mic comedy show that features up and coming comedians and seasoned vets working on new bits or old jokes. It’s a comfortable cafe in a busy neighbourhood, minutes away from Vendome metro and easily accessible by bike/bus.

Plus they have carrot cake.

When: Every Tuesday until July 31
Time: 8 pm – 10 pm
Where: 5526 Rue Sherbrooke
Price: Free

Batman Quiz Night

Mad Hatters is hosting a Batman-themed quiz night. From Adam West to Kevin Conroy, Ben Affleck to Christian Bale and who knows, maybe even George Clooney. Head to Mad Hatters and see if you know Alfred’s last name.

The quiz is hosted by comedian and Batman enthusiast Andrew Cardazzi. Prizes are awarded after every round and a grand prize for the overall bat-winners.

(P.S. It’s Pennyworth)

When: Monday, June 19
Time: 9 pm – midnight
Where: 1240 Rue Crescent
Price: Free to play

Scotiabank Cheapie Tuesday Movie Night

Beat the heat in an air-conditioned theatre and you could check out Deadpool 2, Avengers: Infinity War, Hereditary or/and Solo: A Star Wars Story for real cheap. On Tuesdays at Scotiabank Theatre Montrea, general admission is only $7.

They also have deals on snack combos. Plus, you know, popcorn.

Montreal Museum of Fine Arts

If you want to expand your knowledge today (not of the Batman variety) check out the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. The MMFA has a promotion for the summer: it’s free to enter.

Free art!

The free admission only to people 30 years and young and it applies to the Collections and Discovery exhibitions. They’re all very interesting and gorgeous. Check ’em out.
