In case you weren’t aware, Montreal is home to its very own cat cafe. Known as Cafe Chat L’Heureux, this cat cafe located in the Plateau is filled with furry friends for you to come and hang out with.

Cafe Chat L’Heureux currently houses 8 cats named Luzerne, Gustave, Luna, Milady, Luciole, Chopin, Boris, and Sheldon. Ranging from kittens to old timers, this cat cafe has a wide variety of feline friends, each as cute as the last. For more information on each of the cats including a bit about their personalities, click here.

When you visit the cafe, not only can you expect to see the cats listed above, but you can also expect to see a cozy and relaxed space filled with scratching posts and cat toys. The bistro and play area are all in one room, though one half of the room is made up of tables and chairs, while the other half is a comfier lounge area with couches.

As with any cat cafe, there will be some cats that are more active and others that just want to sleep soundly, but rest assured, there will be at least a few stopping by your table to greet you during your meal.

The cafe has an extensive menu that includes coffee, pastries, smoothies, salads, sandwiches, and lots of yummy desserts.

The one pitfall is that the cafe doesn’t offer WiFi, however, you’ll likely be so busy playing with the pretty kitties that you’ll forget about your laptop altogether.

Cafe Chat L’Heureux is open six days a week, giving Montrealers the chance to hang out with an adorable kitty every day of the week except Monday.
