McGill ranks as the third best university in Canada

McGill University is the third best university in Canada.

That is according to the Academic Ranking of World Universities, an annual report of the best universities in the world put out by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy.

McGill managed to take the 63rd spot globally, while the University of Toronto and the University of British Columbia, which earned the first and second spots in Canada respectively, took the 27th and 34th global slots.

The university scores top marks in life sciences, coming in 26th place, and ranks 38th for medicine. McGill falls slightly short in math, physics, and chemistry however.

In case you’re wondering, the top universities in the world are American Ivy League schools, with Harvard taking the top spot, followed by Stanford.
