This city is truly magical.
By now, you’ve probably heard that Montreal is hosting a Mac N’ Cheese Week.
Taking place between April 3rd and April 10th, this culinary festival will see over 30 Montreal restaurants creating specialty mac and cheese dishes available for one week only.
Participating eateries include Reuben’s, Faberge, Olive + Gourmando, Wienstein & Gavino, EVOO, Suite 701, Deville Dinerbar, Burger Royal, Les Enfants Terribles, and Le Cheese.
The organizers behind Mac N’ Cheese Week have slowly begun releasing photos on Instagram of the specific dishes we can expect to be available during the first week of April.
So far, we’ve seen the likes of a lobster mac and cheese from Sarah B Absinthe Bar, mac and cheese arancini from Local 75, and a Doritos crust mac and cheese from Bistro-Brasserie Les Soeurs Grises.
While those are certainly all enticing options, we recently came across none other than a mac and cheese pizza pocket.
Invented by the geniuses over at hip Montreal bar, SuWu, their mac and cheese pizza pocket (available during Mac N’ Cheese Week only), looks like utter perfection.
Combining the best of both worlds (pizza and mac and cheese), while simultaneously making us feel like kids again, we cannot wait to get our hands on this specialty dish.
