A gigantic Jurassic Park concert is coming to Montreal this spring

Sep 26 2018, 12:22 am

Welcome to Jurassic Park… sort of.

There will be dinosaurs, a giant screen (roughly the size of a T-Rex) and a live orchestra playing you through the movie without the whole “dinosaurs escape and chase you” deal. It’s the best of both worlds, really.

The soundtrack to the 1993 classic film will be performed by Attila Glatz Concert Productions, an international orchestra that has already produced numerous film concerts in Montreal including Harry Potter, Gladiator The Godfather and ET – The Extra Terrestrial.

Conductor Evan Mitchell will conduct a large 77-piece orchestra who will perform the iconic soundtrack of famous composer John Williams throughout the projection of the entire film.

Think about the epic moment in the film when the team first lay eyes on a herd of Brachiosaurus. Imagine how incredible that scene would be on a big screen, with a live orchestra at Montreal’s historic Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier.

The film will be shown in its original English version with French subtitles.

Jurassic Park Live in Concert

When: March 29 and 30
Time: 7:30 pm
Where: Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier, Place des Arts
Tickets: From $49.44 – $121.08, available online
