Just for Laughs is the largest international comedy festival in the world and is an annual hit with Montrealers and tourists.

The festival has hosted some the biggest names in stand-up comedy throughout its 36-year run including Richard Pryor, Sarah Silverman, Jim Carrey, Jerry Seinfeld, Joan Rivers, Jim Gaffigan, and Dave Chappelle.

Just for Laughs first announced major headliners to the 2018 edition of the festival including Kevin Hart, Trevor Noah, Tiffany Haddish and Jimmy Carr.

After becoming part owner of the Just for Laughs Group in March, Howie Mandel held a press conference to announce several other key comedians who would be joining galas and solo lineups.

The America’s Got Talent judge, who has performed at Just for Laughs dozens of times, will host the Howie Mandel All-Star Comedy Gala on July 26 at 6:30 pm at the renowned Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier of Place des Arts.

The festival will also be illuminated with local talent including Montreal-native Derek Seguin, Quebecker Mike Ward as well as Toronto’s K. Trevor Wilson.

The lineup for the ever-popular The Nasty Show was also announced which will feature Robert Kelly, Brad Williams, Ms. Pat, and Mike Britt. The New Faces of Comedy gala will highlight up-and-coming comedians who are gaining fame through the digital world and will include everybody’s favourite HQ Trivia Live host, Scott Rogowsky.

Keep in mind, the festival is known for adding last-minute surprise guests and comedians. We’ll keep our ears to the ground and cross our fingers for Chris Rock.
