Bixi Bikes are being redesigned in honour of Montreal's 375th anniversary

We recently announced that Bixi Bikes are returning to Montreal streets on April 15th.

As exciting as that news is, it turns out that things are about to get even better.

As part of the city’s 375th birthday celebrations, Bixi ran a competition called Bixi & Moi, where they asked local Montrealers to create Montreal-themed designs for its fleet of bikes.

According to company, they will choose 375 of the designs submitted and make them a reality on 375 Bixi bikes in their fleet.

Though the winners have yet to be announced, Bixi has posted the submissions they received to their website, and man are they good.

Designs range from Montreal landmarks, to representations of our city’s culture, like coffee, brunch, and public markets. So far, specific submission include the likes of “Au marche,” “The coffee bike,” “Brunch Brunch Brunch,” “Palais des Congres,” “Montreal & Jacques,” and many more.

Check out 9 submissions below, or click here for a full list of submissions.
