The Société québécoise du cannabis (SQDC) used April 20 in a timely manner, announcing that the provincially-owned cannabis outlets are now sell hash, both online and in stores for the first time.

Hash, officially known as hashish, is made from the resin of the cannabis plant and is considered to be more potent than the cannabis flower.

The SQDC current has one hash product for sale, a two-gram cube called ‘os.hash20’ for $39.90.

“This Indica strain, in hash form, has a strong THC content and contains CBD. It may impart a sense of calmness, produce relaxing sensations, and uplift your mood. This product has spicy aromas with a peppery note,” reads the SQDC website.

The shop warns that the product is of “high-intensity” and is to be consumed “in small amounts at a time.” When inhaled, the effects appear as early as 90 seconds and can last up to 2 to 3 hours after consumption, sometimes longer, according to the SQDC.
