Wise & Wright opens health conscious eatery downtown

A new restaurant in Downtown Calgary has recently opened up its doors. Located in the Core Shopping Centre, Wise & Wright brings health and flavour together in a delicious and nourishing way.

People can expect to find whole natural foods with fresh ingredients, prepared with a culinary focus. Wise & Wright’s menu is diverse and ranges from baked goods (muffins, coconut “no cream” pies, vegan power cookies, chocolate and cashew butter cups, waffles, and the list goes on), to more substantial plates.

Early morning offerings include, breakfast-inspired sandwiches, local yogurts (in combos like raspberry, mint, and lemon), as well as “Built Up Toasts.”

Lunchtime-focused eats include Super Foods Salads, like the Chili Compressed Watermelon Salad and the Pistachio Cous Cous Salad. Also available, “Wise Favorites,” which consist of a Spicy Vegan Pho, Coconut Chicken Bowl, and a Turmeric and Chili Pork Lion Bowl.

Customers can take comfort in knowing that all of Wise & Wright’s meats come from local purveyors and are whole, natural, antibiotic and hormone free.

Drink wise, the menu consists of smoothies with no artificial sugars, cold-pressed juices, tea, and coffee. Coffee beans are provided by roasters, both local and abroad, while the teas are 100 percent organic and chemical-free.

On the weekend, Wise & Wright offers a brunch menu that features some of the eatery’s weekday items, as well as the The Wise Benedict, baked omelettes, and a variety of brunch bowls.

Wise & Wright, which offers inside seating for 40, is open Monday to Friday 7 am to 7 pm, and Saturday and Sunday 9 am to 4 pm.
