Talk about a pretty great time for fast food lovers in Calgary. California import Panda Express opened their first YYC location on October 24 in Southeast Calgary, part of a larger expansion into the Alberta market.
Panda Express is known for its reliable Americanized Chinese food, most notably their signature Original Orange Chicken, and other combo-plate fare like Broccoli Beef and Honey Walnut Shrimp. (But seriously, that Orange Chicken is really good!)
“We are always looking for new opportunities to grow and continue sharing our American Chinese menu items and values with guests,” said Beijia He, area coach of operations for Panda Express.
“The new Calgary location is extremely exciting as it will be the first time many people in the area will experience everything Panda Express has to offer – whether that’s the delicious food on our menu or the inviting environment we strive to have in each and every location.”

While the chain currently has four Edmonton-area locations and three Ontario locations, there are already plans in the works to add more in Calgary in the coming months. Panda says their Edmonton locations have been met with positive reception, which made nearby YYC a logical choice.
