Lights Out Mill Street: 200 live concerts across Canada on Earth Day
A total of 200 venues across Canada will host candlelit events on March 25, 2017 in support of Earth Day Canada, including 28 new participating venues in Alberta this year.
In addition to the concerts, now until March, all 28 Alberta pubs will be donating funds from pints purchased to support the initiative with $0. 50 of every pint purchased donated to Earth Day Canada fundraising efforts.
On March 25 during Earth hour (8:30 to 9:30 pm), all participating venues across Canada will also donate $0.50 of every pint purchased.
Lights Out Mill Street is an annual fundraising campaign that joins the community in a symbolic and environmental effort. Launching in Eastern Canada three years ago, Mill Street has raised over $300,000 in support of Earth Day Canada initiatives.
