Aug 24 2016, 3:50 am

The parking police are looking to get even more money out of you, hope you haven’t gotten caught just as yet.

On August 1, the Calgary Parking Authority changed some of their on street paid parking times to start at 7 am.

“Paid parking will be extended to 7 am in three pricing areas in the Downtown based on occupancy levels. Observed data indicates that the occupancy levels in three pricing areas (4a, 4c and 4d) are over the 80% threshold between 7am and 9am. These are the only areas where paid parking will begin at 7am,” CPA stated on their website.

Currently, prices are $4.50 per hour in area 4a, $4.75 per hour in area 4d and $5.00 per hour in area 4c. Paid parking in areas other than the aforementioned zones will still begin at 9am.
