Chinook Centre applies for an upgrade, with more towers and parking

Cadillac Fairview, owners of Chinook Centre, have applied to The City for a rezoning of the entire east side of the property (the parking lots), near MacLeod Trail.

The last expansion made to Chinook Center was back in 2010 making it 1.3 million square.-feet and housing more than 250 stores.

Cadillac Fairview is first looking to build parking, an 1800 stall above grade parkade to be exact along with  street-level storefronts and potentially office, residential, hotel and retail space.

The application is expected to go to planning commission and city council later this spring.
