Praise the Chinook: Calgary one of the warmest places in Canada today

Not only is it a hot one in Calgary today, but we’re one of the warmest places in Canada.
Calgary broke its record high today set back in 1916. On this day 101 years ago the record high temperature documented was 15.6°C.
Today, with the help of our winter friend the chinook, we reached a high of 16.1°C this afternoon.
