Calgary is getting an indoor skydiving centre

Add this one to the bucket list.

IFly, an indoor skydiving company, has announced that it will be opening a Calgary location in 2019.

The centre will be home to a 12 ft recirculating SkyVenture wind tunnel that will provide a sense of falling to anyone who steps inside (when it’s turned on, of course).

A location has not yet been chosen, but Calgarians can expect to try out the new tunnel by early 2019.

This will be only the seventh indoor skydiving centre in Canada and only the second in western Canada, the first being located in Victoria, BC.

Based on the rates at the iFly Toronto location, would-be wind riders can try out the tunnel for $80 for two minutes, or $120 for four minutes.

And the best part is? There’s none of that “jumping out of a plane” nonsense involved whatsoever.
