One of the best examples of this is the iMirror, an interactive, “Minority Report-style” mirror that merges online shopping with the real world.
iMirror
The iMirror was created when Calgary entrepreneur Pieter Boekhoff saw a video on what the future could look like, which included interactive mirrors. It was at that moment that Pieter decided that he was going to be the one to make that future a reality.
After a Kickstarter campaign that didn’t take off the way they’d hope, Pieter realized the best market for the iMirror was retail chains, looking to make in-store shopping easier, and bridge the gap between going to the mall, and online shopping.
