Ship and Anchor
This dive-bar-esque pub boasts one of the most sought-after patios in the city. It’s open year round and is a terrific place to enjoy a laid-back nosh, while you throw back a drink or two. Snack on a range of appetizers like chicken wings, poutine, and dumplings (which all hang around the $8 mark). Hungry for more? Grab a burger — they’re hearty and cost $12 or less.

This recently launched brew pub is quickly becoming a favourite with beer drinkers in the city. Unwind on Trolley 5’s sidestreet patio while digging into a range of brew snacks and “sharables,” which range in price from $4 to $14. If you’re with friends stop by at happy hour, which runs from 3 to 6 pm daily and includes $4 house beers, house wines, and highballs, and all pitch in and grab a plate of nachos ($18).

If you’re after a light bite and some patio action be sure to hit up this 17th Avenue eatery.
