Dress up in your finest tunic or suit of armour, because this may just be the only time it’s ever appropriate to call someone “m’ lady.”
The Brooks Medieval Faire is back for its 16-year anniversary at the Silver Sage Rodeo Grounds in the Canadian Badlands on Saturday, August 10, and Sunday, August 11.

The Faire has been the largest gathering of medieval and historical re-enactment in all of western Canada since it started in 2003. Every year, families and friends are encouraged to join in on the festivities that take attendees on a trip back in time.
You can look forward to:
- An armoured joust
- The king and queen in their court
- Arts and crafts
- A roast pig feast
- Food vendors
- Lots of alcohol
- Music and dancing
- Stage shows
- Parades
- Rides and games
And we know what you’re wondering — yes, there will be actors improvising medieval storylines for your entertainment.
You can buy a ticket for one day of fun or for the whole weekend. Families of five can purchase a group pass and kids under six can attend for free.
Fair-goers are encouraged to wear a costume, though it’s not required… but why wouldn’t you want to be a princess, knight, or king for a day?
