ILLUMINASIA Lantern and Garden Festival brings beautiful handcrafted lanterns to the Calgary Zoo grounds now through to Sunday, November 1.
During ILLUMINASIA there will be 366 authentic Chinese Lanterns displayed. Some of the lanterns were constructed to mimic the animals that are in the Zoo, like the tigers and penguins, other lanterns are culturally symbolic, such as the crane, or iconic, like the phoenix.
