Public schools across Metro Vancouver remain open this morning, but most private schools across the region have decided to shutter their doors as a preemptive measure.
According to Environment Canada, up to 25 cm of snow could fall in the higher elevations of the region while areas near the warming influence of sea waters could see 5 to 10 cm by Saturday. The snowfall is expected to intensify as the morning progresses.
