With the height of 5’4 nothing stops Paula Hlavacek, a Canadian born model and dancer. “My first photoshoot was at Blanche Macdonald helping out a friend. Little did I know it would feel so natural, I continued modeling ever since” say Paula. In addition, she continues to dance as an ETTE in the Stiletoettes program directed by Chantal Hunt. While juggling the student life, work, dance, and travel, she is always on the go. Projects are what she strives for.
Vancouver has given her the opportunity to meet local makeup artists and talented photographers. Neetu Sahota, her go-to makeup artist supports her along the way. 2016 is a new year filled with goals and opportunities for Paula. She is continuing to build her portfolio while actively seeking modeling agencies to sign her. “They say I’m too short” says Paula and chuckles. This doesn’t let her down. Signed or not, Paula states this is something she truly enjoys doing and it will happen when the time is right. With a positive mind-set, Paula hopes to inspire others to chase what they enjoy doing most, whether or not something comes out of it. “You need to think small, step by step and as a result it will be something big”.
