The much-anticipated McArthurGlen Vancouver Airport Outlet Mall has released the list of its first slate of retailers just weeks ahead of the grand opening scheduled for early summer.
“We are very happy with the way leasing has progressed and feel shoppers will be thrilled with the brand mix,” said Robert Thurlow, General Manager.
“From Coach to Polo Ralph Lauren to Mountain Warehouse, there is really going to be an exciting mix of luxury, premium and lifestyle brands that will appeal to everyone at McArthurGlen Vancouver Airport.”
Several dining options such as Ryuu Izakaya and The Noodle House are part of the open-air shopping centre’s options. The mall has been designed as a village with pedestrian-friendly walkways, a dancing fountain, landscaping, a European-style piazza and a variety of facades that pay homage to European heritage architectural flair.
More brands will be added in the coming weeks and months as agreements are still in the process of being finalized and signed.
The outlet centre is located at Vancouver International Airport on Sea Island and is immediately adjacent to the Canada Line’s Templeton Station.
The project’s first phase consists of 240,000 square feet. A second phase will open in about two years to increase the mall footprint to 400,000 square feet with up to 150 stores.
Meanwhile, a second job fair is scheduled for May 24 and 25 in downtown Vancouver to help fill 600 positions with the mall’s designer retailers.
This is the first outlet mall to serve the Metro Vancouver market and McArthurGlen’s first location outside Europe. It will coincide with the opening of Pacific Centre’s 13 store expansion on the basement level of the Nordstrom building.
