Binging on food and alcohol during the US presidential election? You’re not alone.

According to Google Trends, a website by Google that analyzes the popularity of top search queries, Americans have been searching for plenty of food during the past few hours.

Google revealed that “fries near me” and “liquor store near me” have hit all-time high search records.

In addition, one of the five top trending US Google search terms over the past few hours didn’t have anything to do with the current election.

The odd one out? “Chinese food near me.”

Current Google data displaying what people are searching for includes “Chinese food,” “wine tasting,” “Starbucks open,” “food open,” and “Whataburger”.

Over the past seven days, the most highly searched political topic was unemployment.
