With its launch in December 2013, Thii (pronounced t-e-a) is Canada’s newest fashion label based here in Vancouver. The brand is modern, creative, and insanely on-trend. With its European aesthetic and contemporary price point, Thii is taking the fashion world by storm. Modern elegance translates through the use of luxurious fabrics, bold prints, and effortless yet cool style.

Thii creates items with high visual impact at affordable prices, an attribute that the brand is proud of. Each piece is designed and made in Canada, with fabrics sourced from Italy, L.A., Japan and Montreal. The quality of the product is luxury, but at a contemporary price point, with tops starting at $75, skirts $95, dresses $160, and coats/jackets at $400.

Digital printing also plays a major role in the brand’s approach to product development. The technique allows the company to produce designs that look highly intricate without having to cut or sew in adornments, helping to keep prices relatively low, while allowing for creative freedom and the production of exclusive patterns.

What really sets Thii apart other than the impeccable clothing is their ‘Social Enterprise’ concept. They have trained and recruited young unemployed people, specifically those who had fallen out of mainstream education or work and were in need of a fresh new start. These individuals are trained in product development, technology and customer service. “You have no idea the creativity and innovation in an individual’s mind until you take a peek inside,” says CEO Sharan Thiara. This brand is passionate about giving business a new meaning that goes beyond profit.
