Police searching for inmate who walked away from Metro Vancouver worksite

Police are searching for an inmate from the Fraser Regional Correctional Centre (FRCC) who walked away from an off-site work location on Wednesday.

According to a release, Ridge Meadows RCMP received a call at around 11 am from FRCC reporting that inmate Michael Lund walked away from a worksite in Pitt Meadows.

Lund is serving a 12-month sentence for property related crimes.

Lund is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • 42-years-old
  • Medium build
  • 6’2″ and 190 lbs.
  • Short brown hair
  • Brown eyes
  • Facial stubble

He was last seen in the area of South Gate Road and Airport Way. At the time of his disappearance from the site, Lund was wearing correctional attire consisting of a red shirt, red pants, and a red jacket.
