Police looking for man last seen with missing Japanese student in Vancouver

The Burnaby RCMP say they’re looking to contact a man seen in surveillance footage with a missing international student from Japan.

Natsumi Kogawa, 30, was reported missing on September 12, and hadn’t been seen or heard from since September 7. During their investigation, the Burnaby RCMP say they’ve located surveillance footage of Kogawa walking near Seymour and Hastings Streets in downtown Vancouver on September 8 at 1:30 pm.

The man seen walking with Kogawa in the video is a “person of interest” in her case, and police would like to speak with him. Please note that he has not been deemed a suspect.

The man is described as white, around 30 years old, medium height, slim build, and with light coloured hair. He was wearing a dark jacket, blue jeans, running shoes, a dark baseball cap, and was carrying a black gym bag with red handles and wearing a dark coloured duffle-style backpack.
