New Westminster Police issue urgent warning over unknown deadly drug

An unknown deadly drug in circulation in New Westminster has prompted local police to issue an urgent warning.

According to a release by New Westminster Police, one person has died from the unknown drug and another is in hospital in critical condition.

Both individuals consumed the pill-form drug, which was acquired from the same street drug dealer.

“The community should be concerned,” Stated Sergeant Jeff Scott in a statement. “Drug users who don’t feel well are advised to seek medical attention immediately.”

Few details are available at this time as police are continuing to investigate the case.
