Haidilao Hot Pot

Haidilao Hot Pot will be located at 5890 No. 3 Road in Richmond. Known for its epic hot pot, this chain of restaurants was found in China over 20 years ago, and since then its grown to have dozens of locations spread across the US, Singapore, Japan, and Korea.

JOEY Shipyards
Located in the heart of Lower Lonsdale, JOEY Shipyards will be right on the waterfront and will feature stunning panoramic views of Vancouver Harbour, the kind you want to sit in front of for hours on end.
Moderne Burger/Burgerette

After closing at their OG spot in Kitsilano, the eatery has announced they’ll be reopening at a new location and it will house two concepts. Patrons will soon find Moderne Burger’s epic shakes and eats at 865 West Broadway, but they’ll also find something new: Burgerette, a “slightly smaller” version of Moderne Burger. This spot will be opening in January.

Hot-Star Large Fried Chicken – Vancouver, Richmond

The first-ever Vancouver location of the chain is aiming to open at 566 Granville Street next year. That address previously belonged to Urban Mongolian Bistro (sister restaurant to the Urban Sushi Cafe next door at 562 Granville Street) which closed two months ago. Hot-Star will be opening a Richmond location early next year before the downtown Vancouver one.

Tsujiri Vancouver

Tsujiri has been around since 1860, and the brand is widely recognized for using green tea leaves from Uji in Kyoto and grinding them using a traditional method before making their famous array of teas, baked goods, and dessert. We’ll keep you posted on an exact opening date along with what will be on the menu when this highly-anticipated spot opens.

Dalina – West Broadway

The new spot will be opening at 992 W Broadway at the corner of Oak Street and W Broadway, just steps away from the Vancouver General Hospital. Known for its delicious selection of sandwiches, salads, bowls, sweets, caffeinated beverages, and beautiful (and licensed) space, we’re excited to see this popular concept secure a spot in another area of Vancouver.

A Richmond favourite for ridiculous amounts of pasta has announced they are opening a Vancouver location. The Italian Tomato will be opening in Vancouver at 1047 Davie Street, formerly Priscilla’s Restaurant.

Something exciting is coming from the same folks who brought you Back and Forth Bar, and it’s set to open in Vancouver this fall. A new concept called Sing Sing is taking over 2817 Main Street, the former location of Kiso Island Sushi Restaurant.

Zaatar W Zeit

Zaatar W Zeit is set to open at 535 Granville Street, and we’re hoping it’s soon. This spot is pop-u-lar in the Middle East (once you peep their Instagram, you’ll see why). We wouldn’t be surprised if you hadn’t heard of this eatery before because it’s the first Canadian location for the Lebanese chain.

OEB – Yaletown

The dare we say, legendary, all-day breakfast spot currently operates three Calgary locations and one Edmonton outpost, and they are about to break into BC’s brekkie scene. The purveyor of chef-driven drool-worthy eats like New York-style cheesecake stuffed French toast, breakfast poutine, and their signature takeout breakfast boxes will be opening a location in Vancouver at 1137 Marinaside Avenue (the former location of the Hurricane Grill).

Nemesis – The Polygon Gallery

The 1640-sq-ft location will be in the north-facing corner of the building and it will focus on serving up bread and pastry, and of course, coffee to locals and visitors of the Lower Lonsdale gallery.

One of Vancouver’s most popular coffee spots, Nemesis Coffee, will be taking over the 2,000-sq-ft space (which is still under construction) and its team is aiming to have it open by August/September 2019.
