Although the current downpour outside may not be a proper indicator, the Metro Vancouver forecast says warmer, sunnier days are coming this weekend.

According to the Environment Canada, the ill-timed rain will be replaced with a mix of sun and clouds come Friday and (hopefully) clear blue skies each day going forward.

Areas closer to the water such as Vancouver and Richmond will see highs of 25ºC, but temperatures inland will be several degrees higher, feeling like 28ºC in Coquitlam, Surrey, and Langley.

Not only that but according to the Weather Network, the sunny streak is set to continue – for 11 straight days.

Warm sun and clear skies look to take over Vancouver until midway next week, when the rain finally makes its humid return.
