Beyond Books - Coquitlam Public Library Open House

Coquitlam Public Library showcases ways to escape the high cost of living with free experiences and entertainment, any day of the week.  From free lendable tech to engaging community events, the Coquitlam Public Library is a vibrant hub for the community.  Tell inflation to take a hike, and find amazing ways to have fun, reduce stress, and connect with each other without spending any money.  

Coquitlam Public Library announces the “Beyond Books” Open House at Coquitlam Public Library – City Centre Branch on Sunday, May 28th, from 12:00 to 3:30pm, featuring opportunities to connect, access, entertain and learn:

·      Lendable Tech Stations demonstrating Go Pro cameras, binocular kits, and more.

·      Read and Watch Station exhibiting electronic resources for movies, music, eBooks and audiobooks including Libby and Kanopy, on lendable laptops and tablets.

·      Research and Learning Station featuring genealogical research using Ancestry, courses and tutorials offered by LinkedIn Learning, and preserving family memories at the digitization station.

·      Newcomer Station with resources, workshops and books for new Canadians, as well as lendable Happy Lights.

Door prizes will be given away… including a Roku Streaming Stick and a $50 Superstore Gift Card, a great way to enjoy the Coquitlam Public Library’s free experiences.

Attendees can bring a piece of ID and sign up on site for a free library card on site.
