Ladurée opening second Vancouver boutique and tea salon this week

March 24 is shaping up to be a banner day for Ladurée in Vancouver, as the straight-from-France boutique for all things macaron (and lovely) is not only marking the first anniversary of their Robson Street location, but also adding a second outpost.

Ladurée is aiming to open their new shop and tea salon at Vancouver’s Holt Renfrew on the 24th (pending those final sign offs from the City, of course).

The space will be done up in shades of light grey, accented with pink and blue velveteen upholstery and wallpaper featuring a hot air balloon design inspired by 18th century documents, according to Ladurée.

The boutique, like its elder sibling on Robson, will offer Ladurée’s signature macarons, imported from Paris, in an array of tantalizing flavours, and packed in their iconic and collectible boxes. They’ll also have chocolates, cakes, ice creams, and non-edible goodies (think candles, bags, and key rings).

For those opting to take a seat in the salon, the menu will include a dedicated afternoon tea service, as well as finger sandwiches, mocktails, and a classic French Croque-Monsieur.

The Holt Renfrew Vancouver Ladurée marks the brand’s second Canadian location, though they are also planning a Toronto location.

Ladurée Vancouver Holt Renfrew will be open Monday and Tuesday from 10 am to 7 pm, Wednesday to Friday from 10 am to 9 pm, Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm, and Sunday from 11 am to 7 pm.
