Craft beer, live music, and skateboarding at this Canada Day Block Party

Canada Day – it’s almost here and you need to make some plans.

For starters, this year a brand new block party will take place in the Waldorf Hotel parking lot on Saturday, July 1.

The Good Company Canada Day Block Party will feature something for everyone and you’ll be able to spend the day outdoors soaking up the sunshine while listening to live music on the main stage, watching the city’s best skateboarders on the half pipe, or enjoying a drink in the beer garden.

Kicking off at noon, the event will run right through to 11 pm and includes a sizzling $2 barbecue so you can bite into a juicy burger while taking a break from dancing or watching the live acts. And you’ll still have money left to party – success.

Early bird tickets for this brand new block party are on sale now via MyShowPass for just $15 each.

A pretty cool aspect of the Good Company Canada Day Block Party is that it’s 100% local. It will be celebrating the city’s diverse musical landscape with more than 20 local acts set to perform on the day. This includes local DJs who will be spinning records inside the Waldorf Hotel from 8 pm until 2 am.

The acts confirmed so far include:

  • Brevner
  • Walter TV – Mac Demarco’s backing band
  • MAX Ulis
  • Chapel Sound
  • Funk Schwey

A location amid the brewery district means only one thing – craft beer. You’ll be able to enjoy many of your favourite local beers at the party as local breweries will be serving up brews on the day.
