Nikita Afonso with special guests Taylor-Rae & The Backseat Drivers, Stetson Road and Antoinette

Nikita Afonso (Nelson) //

Winner of Best New Talent at the International Portuguese Music Awards (2017), and MTV Cover of the Month (February 2017), Nikita's storytelling combined with breathy yet powerful vocals and a comfortable stage presence, captures audiences from intimate settings to regional music concerts such as opening for Paul Brandt and singing with Keith Urban.

Taylor-Rae & The Backseat Drivers (Vancouver) //

Taylor-Rae, a talented musician and recording artist originally from Edmonton, AB, made her way to Vancouver in 2012 to attend University and continue pursuing her musical career. Since moving, Taylor-Rae has began to pave her way into the Vancouver music industry with her songwriting and powerful vocals. She has continued to keep busy with her involvement in the Top Line Vocal Collective, a contemporary soul choir, playing solo events around Vancouver, performing with a JUNO nominated Gospel Artist and playing with 2018 Breakthrough Project winner’s, Taylor-Rae and the Backseat Drivers. Her dominant vocals have also landed her a notable position at Vancouver’s Talent Development Studio, Studio Cloud 30 teaching vocal lessons.

Her most recent performances have taken her from the JUNO’s in Ottawa all the way back to the west coast. On the local front Taylor-Rae has recently performed at the Yale Saloon, the Roxy and also Rogers arena.

Taylor-Rae is currently in the studio recording her debut album.

Stetson Road (Gabriola Island) //

Led by lead singer and guitar player James Burroughs, Stetson Road is a country act from Gabriola Island. They perform both with James solo and as a full band, and can play to a variety of venue sizes. Whether on the drums, the bass, the banjo or the guitar, James has been writing music since he was a teenager, taking inspiration from his family, his friends and his life in general. The music of Stetson Road is a short view into those most cherished parts of his life, as well as the heartache that comes alongside it all.

Antoinette (Vancouver) //

“This girl doesn’t need a microphone” is something singer/songwriter Antoinette has heard many times. Growing up listening to artists like Michael Jackson and Aretha Franklin, she has emulated their powerful & expressive voices. Growing up with musician parents, music always surrounded Antoinette’s life. In her teens she picked up the guitar and began writing songs. From then on she has been performing every chance she gets.

Antoinette graduated with a diploma in Contemporary Music and Technology from Selkirk College in 2015 and since then has been performing around Vancouver in bands and as a solo act. She also teaches voice and guitar lessons at Bergthorson Music Academy.

Antoinette's debut EP "Rush" released October 28th. She is currently working on more orginal music to be released in 2018.
