We’ve been patiently waiting for Mount Pleasant’s highly-anticipated new brewery, Electric Bicycle Brewing, to open its doors, and the time has almost come.
The East 4th Avenue space is a technicolour dream from the outside in – and we thought Andina was bright.

Behind the vibrant geometric shapes and stripes adorning the painted street-facing wall on the exterior, there’s a totally rad interior that’s practically begging for some curious Vancouverites to take a seat, grab a beer, and not leave for hours.

The tasting room and bathrooms are just as wild (selfie walls for days) and even the brewing room fas the same far-out paint job that will surely set this brewery apart from nearby local brew haunts like Brassneck and 33 Acres.

This new brewery promises to bring “a completely different experience to the Vancouver brew scene,” along with strange beer made with exotic ingredients, great music, and delicious eats.

The beer program here will actually let people suggest beers using a project the team calls Think Tank. One suggestion will be drawn, chosen, and eventually be created. The first round has officially closed, but keep an eye out for the next Think Tank on the company’s Instagram.
So the important question – when is it opening?
The brewing team told Daily Hive it’s looking like an end-of-March opening, but like most new spots, they can’t say for sure what exact day they’ll be letting patrons in the cheers in their rainbow-dream-of-a-space.
