Another case of COVID-19 has been detected at a GoodLife Fitness facility in Metro Vancouver.

In a statement to Daily Hive, Tracy Matthews, vice president of operations, said that an individual who tested positive for coronavirus spent time at the Burnaby Northgate Club. The infected person spent time at the gym on July 18 between 1 and 2 pm.

This is the second known occurrence of a person with coronavirus visiting this location. Earlier this month, it was announced that another positive case had visited the Burnaby Northgate Club over a 12-day period in late June and early July.

Matthews says that “GoodLife has reached out via email to all members who may have been in the club at the same time as the individual.”

“We have been informed by the local public health authority that the risk for exposure is small, and we have not been advised to close our facility or prevent any Members from accessing the Club,” she adds.

GoodLife says that some of their health and safety measures include wayfinding signage, increased space between equipment, reducing the capacity of their online booking system, and cleaning after each hour of member activity.
