Christmas celebrations at Vancouver’s Canada Place this year will include a 15-foot illuminated moose, who needs a name, and a sparkling avenue of Christmas trees.
Free Christmas attractions will be taking over the Canadian Trail, along the west promenade of Canada Place from November 23 to December 31 this year.
The moose is part of a new Canada’s North light display on the North Point of Canada Place, full of light installations to bring radiance to the winter night.
Canada Place are holding a public vote to give the moose a suitably festive name. You can vote on your favourite name at canadaplace.ca from November 24 to November 30.
Also on display will be the historic Woodward’s Windows, classic Christmas scenes originally showcased in the popular Woodward’s store and handcrafted in the 1960s.
For the whole of the Christmas celebrations, the iconic white sails of Canada Place will be illuminated with festive colours and designs.
And, if you can make it down to Canada Place for 6pm tonight – that’s Thursday, November 23, you’ll get some hot chocolate, coffee, and carolling, all for FREE.
