Adopt Me: A nice dog named Huey Louis

Sometimes great things come in small packages.

Huey, dubbed Huey Louis, is a small puppy that has a big heart.

This Staffordshire terrier cross is petite and athletic, weighing in at just 35 pounds.

This one-year-old puppy came into L.E.A.S.H. Rescue as a highly fearful boy, and is working hard through training to overcome his issues. His fosters have been taking him to training every weekend.

L.E.A.S.H. says Huey loves exploring his surroundings in a safe and controlled way. Think, leash walks instead of dog parks. He loves treats and laying at your feet while you watch TV.

It’s hoped he can be adopted into a home where he can be the centre of attention so he can work on being the best boy he can be. L.E.A.S.H. will also provide some training with DogSmart to his new family to ensure success.

If you’re looking for love in a pint-sized body, consider Huey.

I think his bio sums it up nicely: “I’ve been lost for so long that I just want to be found. I want somewhere to call home and someone to call mine. Everyone says I’m so smart and sweet.”

If you’re interested in adopting, follow L.E.A.S.H. on Facebook for updates, and visit their website to submit an application. And write me at [email protected] if you adopt Huey.
