A woman has died after reportedly being stuck by a machete in Scarborough.
According to Toronto Police, one man is in custody and they are investigating the attack, which occurred on Wednesday evening.
Police initially reported a man was running around with a machete near Morris Road and Ellesmere Road when he “struck someone repeatedly.”
Officers arrived on the scene and located the victim, who had suffered very serious injuries.

The victim succumbed to her injuries on scene.
Following the arrest, police say there were no outstanding suspects or dangers to the public.
Homicide is currently investigating the incident.
