KPU’s design school was the only Canadian fashion institution to receive badges in multiple categories in the fashion design section of the report. This includes the following:
- Best Overall (only Canadian school)
- Best in Long-term Value
- Best in Learning Experience (only Canadian school)
“We are proud to have been included on this prestigious, international list. Our close connection to industry and extensive practicum placements, hands-on experiential learning and advanced technology are cornerstones of our programs,” Andhra Goundrey, interim dean, Wilson School of Design, said in a press release.

In order to get the results for the Best Fashion Schools in the World report, The Business of Fashion magazine does an annual rigorous assessment of fashion schools, seeking input from leading fashion experts.
Altogether, this includes data points collected from 66 institutions and surveys completed by 13,500 students and alumni. Additionally, industry and HR professionals share their feedback, along with the BoF education council.
“This global recognition is validation for what we take pride in and we are thrilled to be on the map with such good company,” added Goundrey.
