Gun violence plagued Toronto Thursday evening, with three separate shootings occurring in the city near the Eaton Centre, Regent Park, and in Scarborough.
One shooting left a male victim dead, while the extent of the other victims’ injuries remain unknown.

Police say they were called to the area of Dundas and Sumach streets near Regent Park around 10 pm after receiving reports of a male being shot in the area.
At the time, officers said a group of people were seen leaving the scene in a car at a high speed.

Shortly after, police were called to the area of Middlefield Road and McNicoll Avenue after receiving reports that a man was shot and reportedly unconscious.
When officers arrived at the scene, they located the victim with obvious signs of trauma.
Police said the area was closed while medics worked on the victim.
However, despite their efforts, medics were not able to save the victim and he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Just after 11 pm, police responded to a shooting near the Eaton Centre, after receiving reports of a man shooting at a car.
Police said they also received reports of bullets hitting the building.
However, there were no injuries reported.

As of Monday, September 16, there have been 311 shootings in the city, 29 of these resulted in death, according to Toronto police shooting statistics.
