Gardiner and DVP road closures on Sunday for Heart & Stroke Ride for Heart

Jun 2 2016, 11:10 pm

The Heart & Stroke Ride for Heart takes place on Sunday, June 5, and with it are a few scheduled road closures downtown.

From 2 am, all ramps on the Gardiner Expressway will be closed from the Humber River, east of the Don Valley Parkway. As well, the Don Valley Parkway will be closed from Lake Shore Blvd north to the 401.

All roads are expected to re-open by 2 pm.

The Becel Heart & Stroke Ride for Heart is Canada’s largest charity cycle event supporting heart disease and stroke research. This year, for the first time, organizers have added a run and a walk portion to the fundraiser – and as seen in the video above, Councillor and 6ix dad Norm Kelly himself is a supporter of the cause.
