Conveyor belt sushi is coming to Toronto!

Hana Sushi & Cafe is opening soon near Yonge and College Streets and according to a recent job posting, the new spot is a “full-service Japanese sushi restaurant that will specialize in providing customers with high quality and authentic Japanese dishes, including sushi, sashimi and a variety of other dishes,” delivered directly from Itamae (sushi chef) to table via monorail!

While an opening date is still to be announced, ordering at the restaurant will take place via automated touch-panel and dishes will arrive at tables via conveyor belts.

Hana Sushi might be Toronto’s first ever conveyor belt sushi bar, it’s likely not the last. Canadian chain Bento Sushi bought out by iconic ‘conveyor belt sushi’ brand YO! Sushi late last year.
