In just over a month, Toronto’s historic Distillery District will transform into a magical and charming interpretation of a classic European Christmas Market.

Now in its 10th year, the Toronto Christmas Market has grown into a beloved and annual tradition that welcomes locals and visitors alike to get into the festive spirit as they meander down the cobblestone streets and enjoy holiday-inspired foods, cozy beverages, unique shopping experiences, and more.

This year, you can get into the holiday spirit starting as early as November 14, and tickets are already available for purchaseĀ online.

While weekday admission continues to be free of charge until Friday atĀ 6 pm, weekend entrance fees this season will increase toĀ $8Ā for tickets bought online in advance, andĀ $12 dollarsĀ when purchased day-of.

“Ticket proceeds allow us to meet the direction of the City, maintain the festival’s growth, enhancements, operations, and continue our annual support for our charitable beneficiaries,” says Toronto Christmas Market Creator and Executive Director,Ā Mathew Rosenblatt.

As a not-for-profit organization, the Toronto Christmas Market uses weekend ticket proceeds not just to support charitable organizations such as the Daily Bread Food Bank, Plan Canada, the Toronto Star Santa Claus Fund, and the Yonge Street Mission, but also to support community events and programming throughout the year.

But to continue the tradition of giving back, this year the Toronto Christmas Market will offer free admission on the first two opening weekends to anyone who brings eight cans of food to donate to the Daily Bread Food Bank.

Participants can drop off the canned goods at the large donation bin outside the Ticket Tent in exchange for a ticket.

As always, visitors can look forward to the return ofĀ the iconic Ferris wheel, enhancements to the dramatic 100-foot light tunnel, even more holiday-inspired foods, warm beverages and seasonal spirits, and iconic 50-foot Christmas tree.

This season offers even more music and entertainment on the main stage and throughout the market and visitors can expect to see nearly 500 performers including carolers, choirs, dancers, musicians, holiday elves, and Santa himself.
