Just in case you don’t want to be limited to slurping up something cold from a cup with a straw this summer at Starbucks, the coffee chain is adding two new kinds of treats to what they’re calling their “Sunset” menu.

Available after 3 pm daily, and “in celebration of the extra hours of sun,” Starbucks stores across Canada is adding Granitas and Trifles starting June 14.

A granita is an Italian semi-frozen treat, similar to shaved ice, and they are offered in three flavours: Caramel Espresso Granita, Strawberry Lemon Limeade Granita, Youthberry® White Tea Granita. A Tall is priced at $4.25 CAD.

A second way to soak up the rays in the afternoon and evening are the new Trifles, which Starbucks says are made-to-order in the spirit of a tiramisu, which is all about layering a baked treat with cream and a sauce drizzle. Their Trifles come in two flavours: Chocolate Brownie and Strawberry Shortcake. A Tall will cost you $3.75 CAD.

If you’re digging what Starbucks has going on this summer, spoons up!
