There's a Santa Speedo Run happening in Toronto December 15

Everybody’s favourite non-running event returns this weekend, as the annual Santa Speedo Run takes the streets of Toronto.

On Saturday, December 15, the Bloor-Yorkville Business Improvement Area (BY BIA) invites the public to cheer on the 12th annual Santa Speedo Run – a “cheeky” little jog through the Bloor-Yorkville neighbourhood with participants wearing only running shoes and bathing suits.

The chilly challenge will be raising money for the Toy and Game Fund at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), a fund that invests in toys, activities and art supplies for the children who’ll be spending the holidays in the hospital.

According to organizers, over the years, the Santa Speedo Run has raised over $350,000 for the Toy and Game Fund at SickKids.

So gear up, and get ready to run or watch the breezy 3 km event.
