Planta Burger is opening in the financial district next month

Yorkville’s Planta Burger is opening up in Toronto’s financial district.

Chase Hospitality Group announced today the company’s latest plant-based restaurant concept will be launching its newest location at 4 Temperance Street on September 5.

The new gourmet food, quick service destination will have a menu that emphasizes on high quality, responsibly sourced ingredients.

“Planta Burger reflects Chase Hospitality Group’s ongoing commitment to sustainable, environmentally responsible ingredients,” said Steven Salm, president, Chase Hospitality Group in a statement. “We are dedicated to offering quick service at an affordable price point, and based on the rave reviews of Planta’s burger, having fun with a spin-off was the obvious answer.”

The new location’s menu features two perfectly seasoned nut free and gluten free patty options: the mushroom black bean, lentil and beet patty, is topped with avocado and garlic aioli for The California ($10) and with queso, mushroom bacon and a pickle for The Classic ($10). The Crab Cake ($10) patty is made with heart of palm and celeriac, and topped with lettuce and tartar.

While the space is cozy, seating 14 inside and 25 on the patio, the casual space also allows for easy take-out and catering.

Planta Burger will be open six days a week from 11:30 am to 7:30 pm, Monday through Saturday.
