Description

Four of U of T’s brightest minds share big ideas from their fields: from what we know about the earliest moments of the universe, the dangers of international digital espionage, the politics of music in expatriate Iranian communities and preserving the sounds of Kensington Market, to how activism and advocacy in research can be leveraged to create change.

Featured speakers include cosmologist Renée Hložek, ethnomusicologist Farzaneh Hemmasi, evolutionary ecologist and equity activist Maydianne Andrade and Director of the Citizen Lab, Ronald Deibert. The evening will be hosted by broadcast journalist Mary Ito
