But it’s what he wore that might leave you guessing.
Surely our strapping leader is all dolled up as the legendary Lawrence of Arabia? Nope. Not at all.

See him alone and we understand why you might think so, but throw in his two-and-a-half-year-old son Hadrien and things become much clearer. Well, kind of.
You see, Trudeau went as an accompaniment. A character who depends on the presence of another character in order to rise above complete obscurity. Last night, he was simply the pilot to his Petit Prince. (Enter jokes about steering the country here.)
And it was freaking adorable.

The rest of the family, meanwhile, decided to take a darker turn, with Sophie seemingly channelling her inner witch, Xavier going old-school Joker on us, and Ella-Grace out-witching her mom (seriously, can we get a pair of those boots please?).
The real surprise, however, would have been opening your door last night to find the Prime Minister waiting there to ask for a free handout…
